There are several other videos containing "math tricks." Can you figure out what's going on in this video? How does Shortdude1619 arrive at his answer?
Last but not least, can you come up with a "math trick" of your own?
I came to the same conclusion as Miss Poreda did with how he used math in his trick. I have a better one. Look at this cartoon and it will describe it: http://xkcd.com/710/
well 7 x 11 x 13 = 1001 and a 3 digit number such as 219 x 1001 = 219219, so he's basically working backwards to use this idea as a math trick
ReplyDeleteThat is really cool. I can't imagine thinking of that, but Miss Poreda's explanation above makes it very obvious where the "magic" comes from.
